At 10:35 a.m., Tuckerton Fire-Rescue was dispatched along with Mystic island and West Tuckerton Fire Companies to East Pimlico Road in Mystic Island for a report of a seal trapped on the ice.

A joint effort by the fire companies along with personnel from Great Bay Regional Vol. EMS and the Marine Mammal Stranding Center resulted in a successful recovery of the seal, The seal was taken to ehe Marine Mammal Stranding Center, to be given fluids and some rest prior to being released.
